Consider joining the next discussion on OSU Extension in the City. Monday, May 12, 10am - http://carmenconnect.osu.edu/osuecity/

For years, OSU Extension has had a group of colleagues collaborating on urban metro programming. A few weeks ago the group decided to transition from the Urban/Metro or UMAT team to OSU Extension in the City. Team members expressed how the people they worked with identified with living and working in the city - more than with the words urban and metro. We will continue to use words like urban as it relates to the National Urban Leaders Network, funding opportunities, urban influence codes,... as well as the term Metro as it relates to MSA data, and other references, such as What Matters to Metros. Because Ohio is such a dynamic state, with urban, rural, suburban influence, OSU Extension in the City adds to the Extension mission of engaging people to strengthen their lives and communities through research-based educational programming.

Agenda for May 12:
- Welcome and introductions/brief updates
- Review draft website, blog, and print materials - Initial feedback on OSU Extension in the City positioning
- Schedule working group meetings and Face-to-Face team meeting (revisit team mission, priorities, operations, working group meetings)
- Discuss 2015 National Urban Extension Conference (call for presentations is attached - deadline Wednesday, October 1, 2014)
- VP Discussion - feedback from April discussion and schedule additional visits
- National Urban Leaders Network - any information you want me to take with me or gather from the group in June?
- Brief updates on Professional Development, Research, Funding, and other Core updates

If you would like to become a member of this Team, you have options. This helps cliffy expectations and commitment - you may switch member type at any time.

Need to re-visit historical documents in light of future plans.
Affiliate Members. Team members who have a particular interest in participating in one or more of the working groups - identify priorities/specific significant goals and address opportunities/issues related to the working group's funding, research, communications, development.
Information Members. Team members who want to receive and contribute information, but they not active in ongoing workings of the team. They can become affiliate members if they assume an identified role or task for the team. These members may provide links to resources that advance improvements with OSU Extension in the City.

If you would like to join a Working Group - The groups and person convening the initial meeting are listed below.
