Buckeye Wellness Updates

May – High Blood Pressure Control and Women’s Health Month
Our biometric focus for this month is high blood pressure control and women’s health. In the links below we have a CDC infographic that helps to break down blood pressure control with some alarming statistics. The good news is that by controlling blood pressure we can significantly reduce our risk for stroke, coronary heart disease and death from cardiovascular disease. Americans have plenty of room for improvement too. Only about 47% of individuals with high blood pressure have their condition under control. Take time this month to talk to a colleague or loved one about how to better control high blood pressure. Also see below for more information on a “Women’s Health Update” lunch and learn on May 16.
