David Matas recently launched a new book, co-edited with Dr. Torsten Trey,
entitled: State Organs: Transplant Abuse in China (Woodstock, ON:
Seraphim, 2012). Many of the articles are by physicians internationally
involved in organ transplant medicine. According to Matas, his new
strategy is to make doctors who do transplant procedures aware of the
situation in China, and thereby to isolate Chinese physicians in the
field. The hope is that if Chinese doctors are not welcomed at
international conferences, or if foreign doctors refuse to take part in
research projects involving China, the medical profession in China may
bring pressure on authorities there to end involuntary organ harvesting.
