Dear all,

The editor of Woolf Studies Annual welcomes submissions for volume 28, scheduled for publication in Spring 2022. The deadline for volume 28 consideration is 15 October 2021.

Submissions sent to the editor after this deadline will still be considered for WSA, but they may not make it through the review process in time for the 2022 volume. (They will be considered for volume 29.) Before submitting their work, authors interested in publishing with WSA should familiarize themselves with the journal’s submission guidelines <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.pace.edu/sites/default/files/files/press/woolf-studies-annual/wsa-submission-guidelines.pdf__;!!KGKeukY!iB3xOl03JTf6V7kqSPjDY-5Oi1eaz-1WK-ix1H_AafbDyaTBJ5KLYBMGtzSkorPgKvo$ > as well as the quality of scholarship in past issues. In addition to scholarly articles and reviews, WSA also publishes archived materials. Should you be looking for a home for a recent Woolf-related discovery (unpublished letters, draft materials, etc.) or have a general inquiry about the journal, please reach out to the editor any time (woolfstudiesannual at gmail.com <mailto:woolfstudiesannual at gmail.com>).

“1922” Cluster: Next year marks a centenary for literary modernism and Virginia Woolf. 1922 saw the publications of James Joyce’s Ulysses, T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land, Woolf’s Jacob’s Room, and other work by Marcel Proust, Katherine Mansfield, D.H. Lawrence, Willa Cather, May Sinclair, Elizabeth von Arnim, and many others. The editor of WSA invites submissions for volume 28 that address Woolf in relation to this centenary. Submissions may focus on Jacob’s Room or consider Woolf’s life and work in relation to other texts or contexts relevant to the theme “1922.” The editor welcomes shorter essays (3,000–5,000 words) and full-length articles (~8,000 words) for this cluster. Regardless of length, all submissions will still go through the standard peer-review process. Please send “1922” submissions and any inquires to the editor (woolfstudiesannual at gmail.com <mailto:woolfstudiesannual at gmail.com>) by 15 October 2021.
