*1)* Three opportunities from the

*US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA):*
*a) Capacity-Building Program for U.S. Undergraduate Study Abroad *(
http://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=275453)

*:*
Under this cooperative agreement, the selected recipient will provide
administrative support services, monitoring, evaluation, and programmatic
advising and support to sub-recipients for the execution of ECA’s FY 2015
Capacity-Building Program for U.S. Undergraduate Study Abroad. In close
consultation with ECA, the recipient will run a nationwide competition to
provide awards averaging approximately $50,000 to between 17 to 20
accredited U.S. higher education institutions (HEIs) to create or expand
their U.S. study abroad programs under outlined diversity goals.

Funding is up to $1,190,000 over three years. Proposals are due June 4.

*b) U.S. Building Study Abroad Capacity at U.S. Higher Education
Institutions MOOC* (
http://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=275458) that
will

1. Provide a comprehensive overview of options for establishing or
expanding quality study abroad programs for U.S. higher education
institutions of all types and at all stages of study abroad development;
2. Serve as a lasting tool for training and retraining of higher education
professionals (administrators and faculty members) whose job
responsibilities wholly or in-part engage with U.S. study abroad or
international educational planning more broadly; and
3. Offer best practices for expanding and diversifying U.S. study abroad
both in terms of U.S. student participation, U.S. institutional
participation, and the geographic and institutional breadth of study abroad
destinations abroad.

Funding is up to $200,000 over two years. Proposals are due June 2.

*c) **EducationUSA Academy* (
http://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=275457):

The long-term goal of the EducationUSA Academy is to create a new
recruitment pipeline for international high school students who may not
have considered undergraduate study in the United States by creating a
network of summer programs at participating U.S. colleges and universities,
each aimed at providing a combination of intensive English language
training and college-preparatory content.

The EducationUSA Academy will be a three- to four-week summer program
initially held on approximately 10-15 U.S. college and university campuses,
beginning in summer 2016 (and continuing for the next two summers), for
15-17 year-old students who are citizens of and reside in other countries.
Each campus will host at least one cohort of no more than 20 students, who
will study intensive English, learn about the process of applying to U.S.
higher education institutions and strategies for success in a U.S. academic
environment, and experience U.S. campus life. The program will also include
tours of a minimum of three diverse college and university campuses.

Funding is for up to $300,000 over three years. Proposals are due May 29.

*2) **National Endowment for the Humanities Digital Projects for the Public*
grants "support projects that significantly contribute to the public’s
engagement with the humanities. Digital platforms—such as websites, mobile
applications and tours, interactive touch screens and kiosks, games, and
virtual environments—can reach diverse audiences and bring the humanities
to life for the American people. The program offers three levels of support
for digital projects: grants for Discovery projects (early-stage planning
work), Prototyping projects (proof-of-concept development work), and
Production projects (end-stage production and distribution work). While
projects can take many forms, shapes, and sizes, your request should be for
an exclusively digital project or for a digital component of a larger
project." (http://www.neh.gov/grants/public/digital-projects-the-public)

Budget amounts vary by type of grant: Discovery ($30,000), Prototyping
($100,000), Production ($400,000). Proposals are due June 10.
