website (http://go.osu.edu/nsfcareer) has links to two video resources to
assist Ohio State faculty considering submissions to the NSF CAREER program:

*"How to Write a Winning NSF CAREER Proposal"* is a videorecording of a
two-hour webinar conducted by Academic Research Funding Strategies in March
2012. The webinar covers:

   - How to decide when and if it's the right time to apply for a CAREER
   grant
   - How to position yourself and your research to be competitive for a
   CAREER
   - How to structure your proposal
   - How to develop an educational plan
   - Keys to success and common mistakes to avoid
   - A step-by-step discussion of each section of the proposal and what it
   needs to tell the reviewers
   - Questions and Answers

STEM Initiatives has purchased access to the webinar recording until May
24, 2012.

*"NSF CAREER Outreach/Education/Diversity Workshop"* is a videorecording of
an April 2012 program at Ohio State focused on the
outreach/education/diversity portion of the CAREER proposal and included
presentations by COSI, the Metro School, the University Center for
Advancement of Teaching (UCAT), and the Summer Research Opportunities
Program (SROP) about how they collaborate with prospective
CAREERapplicants on outreach to schools and the public, development of
courses,
and recruitment of students from underrepresented groups.
