*1) NSF Innovative Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers (ITEST):
* The National Science Foundation has released a revised solicitation for
its ITEST program (http://www.nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=5467).
>From the program synopsis:

ITEST supports the research and development of innovative models for
engaging K-12 students in authentic experiences that build their capacity
to participate in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
(STEM) and information and communications technology (ICT) workforce of the
future. ITEST projects must include students and may include teachers.

Letters of intent are due September 20, and proposals are due November 13.
Funding levels vary by type of proposal:
*Strategies:* $1.2 million, with duration of up to three years
*Research:* $1.2 million, with duration from three to five years
*Scale-up:* $2 million, with duration from three to five years

*2) OBR Improving Teacher Quality (ITQ):* The Ohio Board of Regent's ITQ
program funds professional development projects for K-12 mathematics and
science teachers (http://www.ohiohighered.org/itqp). Projects are funded up
to $300,000 over the period 1/21/13-5/31/14. Intents to Submit Proposal are
due September 24, and proposals are due October 25. OBR will hold
information sessions on September 13 from 9-11am and from 1-3pm at their
office (30 E. Broad Street, 36th floor).

*3) OSU Battelle Endowment for Technology & Human Affairs (BETHA):* BETHA
"provides funding to support university activities designed to continue the
examination and understanding of the impact of science and technology on
individuals and society" (http://oaa.osu.edu/betha.html). Awards range from
$10,000-$60,000, usually over 1 year. Proposals are due November 21.
