IMPORTANT: Log out of Linux Tuesday April 16 8:00 PM to midnight

To avoid losing work, kill all Linux jobs and logout from Linux computers
on Tuesday, April 16 from 8:00 PM to midnight.

*Details:*

During the regular monthly maintenance window on Tuesday, April 16,
from 8:00 PM until midnight, ASCTech will be moving Physics Linux home
directories to a new fileserver to improve NFS performance. This means
that any processes accessing Linux home directories on the ASCTech
server will hang, and probably also cause the computer to hang.
Killing running jobs and logging out should prevent most problems.

If a Linux computer is not working correctly after that time, try
rebooting it. If you still have problems, please report them to
action at physics.osu.edu.

This does not affect Windows or Apple computers.
