[OACRAO] Graduation Application Policy

The following statement is in our catalog. We do not adhere to the one academic term. We do however advise the student his/her name may not be in the program if they contact us around the middle of Spring term (only 1 ceremony per year).

"The petition for degree should be completed and submitted to the Student Records Office one academic term prior to the projected graduation date." We do not charge a fee.

Does your institution have a strict deadline for applying to graduate?  How far in advance must they apply?   Is there a fee charged for late applicants?  Are exceptions made?  Can a student appeal?

We are looking at instituting a new policy and would appreciate your feedback.  Thank you!
