Thanks for this. A friend of mine sent along a link to a Guardian article
on the same story, but there's a link to a story about similar phenomenon
occurring on the coast of Brittany that refers to a situation that
occurred in New Zealand. Which is to say, the problem is not only specific
to Qingdao.
