Keep in mind, there are more boys then girls in China. I don't have any
statistics handy at the moment, but I do believe that in the age group of
thirties, there are already more boys than girls. If shengnu are at the
higher end of the socio-economic ladder, more poor shengnan are at the
very bottom, and are very much invisible. It's simple mathematics.
