What is "inscrutable" is not the Chinese but those who perpetuate the idea
that the Maya have proposed a doomsday. I am in Guatemala and hot in the
midst of the transition from old calendar to new. Mayan leaders here think
the rest of the world is quite looney in these predictions of disaster.
Lee Mack seems not to be taking him or her self or the Maya or the Chinese
or anything else very seriously with this kind of superficial reporting.
