Subject: writer on Chinese ethnic minority fiction?
***********************************************************

Hello list,

Paper Republic is putting together something called the "Field Guide to
Contemporary Chinese Literature", a small handbook mostly aimed at
publishing professionals, providing a sort of birds-eye view of trends
and writers from the last 30 years of Chinese fiction. We've got most of
the content sorted, but the one thing we're missing is a short piece on
ethnic minority fiction in China.

Does anyone on the list either know anyone who is, or feel themselves to
be, qualified to write such an overview? We're looking for something
around 1,000 words -- pithy, knowledgeable, highly-distilled and
stylishly written. We're paying, though not in spades. The resulting
Guide will go around the world, and figure prominently in next year's
London Book Fair, when China will be the Market Focus/Guest of Honor.

Any and all recommendations welcome!

Thanks,
Eric
