I definitely thought it mean that "It is optional to upload and include the (1) ROI images of the SUV values or (2) system generated table of SUV values. Uploading neither is also acceptable."

ACR Update in the AAPM July/Aug newsletter: "The ROI screenshot requirement will be removed. The PET Phantom requirements will indicate that submitting the ROI screenshot is recommended but not required."
ACR Update in the AAPM Sept/Oct newsletter: "The ROI screenshot requirement has been removed. Submitting the ROI screenshot is now recommended but not required."

Sorry for the strange question. . . . . but, Ive had some back and forth with the ACR recently, with some of the recent PET changes. . . . . . . . what exactly do you understand the last two words. . . . . "is optional" to mean? ACR wording: "
Sorry for the strange question.....but, Ive had some back and forth with the ACR recently, with some of the recent  PET changes........what exactly do you understand the last two words....."is optional" to mean?


ACR wording:

" Upload the native DICOM AC transaxial 3-10mm slices of the phantom using the same matrix size as the clinical protocol ( 10 mm thick slices will need to be non-interleaved).
   Including the ROI images of the SUV values or system generated table of SUV values is optional"
