[Heb-NACO] title on title page verso

I complained about the parallel title rule, but PSD was insistent.  My preference would be to have a parallel title only if it is also on the title page rather than the RDA rule of “anywhere in the book.”   I like the 246 since it gives the context of the Roman script title (t.p. verso, but in some languages the colophon is more common).   But LC/PCC libraries have to follow PSD on this.

Aaron,
To be frank, I don't like the parallel title in the 245 field just based on the title page verso.
I think it confuses the reader thinking that the book is in Hebrew and English.
It is okay to record the title page verso information and put it in a 246 field, but not in a 245xx = $b

But who am i to decide such big ideas - I only deal with small things like Trump vs. Bernie ...

Hi,

I understand that with the advent of RDA, the 2461- “title on t.p. verso” is usually developed to “title on title page verso.” However, I see in most Israeli records only “2461- On verso of title page.”

I strongly prefer the second solution, as “title on tile blah…” doesn’t sound so well in English.

Is there any rule about that? And if there is, could it be revised?
