Hi Yosi,
Technically if a NACO cataloger finds a mistake in the NAR they are the one to correct it. However, if a NACO cataloger prefers not to they can forward it to LC, or ask a colleague to help out.
It is really up to you. If you want to, go ahead and fix it. Or if you prefer,I am happy to do it and you can send me the lccn, the correct dates for the person, and the supporting sources and I can fix the NAR.
Best, Heidi

Subject: [Heb-NACO] Wrong information in EJ
Colleagues,
While working on the Lexicon of Modern Hebrew Literature<http://go.osu.edu/hebrewlit>, I stumbled across an Name Authority Record that is based on information in the Encyclopaedia Judaica (1972 & 2007)
The EJ record has the birth and death dates totally wrong (1885-1929 instead 1854-1928)
Do we have an established procedure to fix the NAR? Should the creator of the NAR fix it? Will LC do it? If I do it - what note should I put in to explain the wrong information in EJ (that is supposed to be our first choice of reference)?
