Dear Colleagues

I refer you again to SHM H1955 and to LCSH. The subdivision *--Public
opinion *does not subdivide geographically.

The heading string *Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)--Austria--Public opinion *is
correctly formulated, and signifies opinions held about the events of the
Holocaust which took place in Austria. To bring out the place where the
opinion is held, assign the heading *Public opinion--[place].*

*Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)--Foreign public opinion* and *Holocaust,
Jewish (1939-1945)--Foreign public opinion, [national qualifier] *are
established as stand-alone headings. Geographic subdivision, signifying the
location of the event, may be interposed between *Holocaust, Jewish
(1939-1945) *and *Foreign public opinion, *in accordance with SHM H870.

Best regards,
Lenore
