[Heb-NACO] pitedah vs. pitdah

I think I remember from this summer's convention, Joan said she was giving up the battle, and letting people romanize words like "agadta" as "agadeta."

Re: li-fene, it follows the "little word" construction as instructed in HCM.  However, it now appears as its own dictionary entry (albeit with a parenthetical explanation of lamed + panim).  Joan, should our practice be changed to lifne?

Barry, regarding a preposition being an "integral part", as far as I know it doesn't make a difference; unless the word with the preposition appears on its own in the dictionary, it's still considered a "little word" and is separated from the main word with a hyphen.

I'll let someone else field the Li-fene question, but as far as Pitedah is concerned:  there's a sheva there because tet and dalet are both dentals, per the practice noted on p. 11 of Maher in the case of "mitpalelim."  I suppose that would be a sheva na'.  The sheva is our friend, and it's here to help.
