[Heb-NACO] Me-hamat or Mehamat

This question is just to clarify the issue of “Little words” (Paul Maher: Hebraica Cataloging, 1987 – p. 21)

I noticed that we have two records on OCLC for the little book of poetry by Hagit Sabag<http://library.osu.edu/projects/hebrew-lexicon/02211.php>  מחמת כיסופים
In one record it was transcribed as Me-hamat kisufim (a dot under the H) and in the second record as Mehamat kisufim (again, a dot under the H)

Checking Even Shoshan – the are two entries: one is under חמת   and one is under  מחמת

Which form is more correct (when it comes to Romanization)
