  *   NEW! COVID-related Updates
     *
UPDATED MASK REQS: Ohio State continues to respond to changes in public health guidance. For fully vaccinated people, masks are no longer required on Ohio State’s campuses except for in Wexner Medical Center facilities and on public transportation. Fully vaccinated individuals are also no longer required to physically distance. Individuals who are not vaccinated are required to continue wearing masks indoors and physically distancing at all times.   *   NEW! E-Fellows Engineering Postdoctoral Fellowship - Deadline: July 6!
  *   The new Engineering Postdoctoral Fellowship, known as the eFellows program, places early-career PhDs in engineering fields in university research postdoctoral fellowships. In addition to hands-on academic research with a faculty advisor, each fellowship cohort will participate in professional development and mentoring activities designed to prepare them for future research careers .
The eFellows program is administered by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) with funding provided by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Program benefits include a salary of $75,000, per year, for two years. Upon selection, ASEE will issue subawards to host institutions to cover salary, benefits, and up to $3,000 for travel expenses per fellow.
The eFellows application is expected to open June 21 (due July 6!) with award announcements to-be-issued on August 1 and fellowship appointments starting September 7, 2021. Please visit efellows.asee.org<http://efellows.asee.org/home> or contact efellows at asee.org for more information.






🔑 Graduate Professional Development Opportunities





  *   DUE THIS WEEK! 2021 E-Council Engineering Expo is hiring Expo Coordinators!
  *

Looking for a leadership opportunity where you can fine-tune skills such as strategic planning, communication, problem-solving, marketing, organizational skills, budgeting, multi-tasking, etc.?  If so, then you might be interested in a coordinating the 2021 E-Council Engineering Expo where Ohio State engineering students meet with employers from Ohio, across the country, and around the world!  ECS is now accepting applications for the 2021 Expo Coordinator positions (apply at link below).  Oh wait, did we mention that Expo Coordinators are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship?  The distribution would be subject to your personal eligibility limits and would provide $500 at the initiation of duties and $500 upon completion of a successful fair. As we continue to navigate the impacts of COVID-19, please note that the 2021 E-Council Engineering Expo will look a little different. Our plans are as follows:

     *   Tuesday, September 28 from 1pm-5pm - Virtual E-Council Engineering Expo - Virtual Fair (open to all engineering students)
     *   Wednesday, September 29 from 1pm-5pm - E-Council Engineering Expo Career Fair - In-person Fair (open only to engineering students seeking full-time career employment)
     *   Thursday, September 30 from 1pm-5pm - E-Council Engineering Expo Co-op/Internship Fair - In-person Fair (open only to engineering students seeking co-op/internship employment)
