Well, the exam is over. It's time to move onto chapters 16 and 17.
Hopefully you've started them, at least reading the book and doing
some end-of-chapter exercises. I'll be sending an e-mail about the
MC homework and due dates for Ch 16 and Ch 17 (17.1-17.3).
We have a quiz next Tuesday which will certainly cover ch 16 and
probably 17.1-17.2. That's a lot of material. Remember, 17.1-17.2
is a continuation of acid-base chemistry.
Don't worry about chapters 13 and 14 right now. You won't need
very much of that for the rest of ch 17 (except knowing what
solubility is) and then chapters 19 and 20. It will be on the final.
I'll discuss after lecture on Friday what to do about learning the
chapter 13 and 14 material if you're still struggling. However,
you must catch up and then stay current. Don't try to catch up
all in one day. In the follow-up e-mail you'll see I've tried to
spread the ch 16 and 17.1-17.2 on-line problems out a little over
Friday, Sat, Sun and Mon. That e-mail will follow.
