All,

If you missed the last meeting and are interested in being an officer (leadership position) please let me know. For our club, the officer positions require minimal time commitments. As an officer, I would expect you to attend all meetings unless you have a valid conflict. Otherwise, occasionally we need a little help too with things like scheduling, emails, meeting ideas, etc. Please note that even if you are a new member this semester you can help fill the officer roles!

Becoming an officer is a great way to increase your chances of being awarded AFS and FEF scholarships that we give out every year as well as non-club scholarships (potentially national AFS or FEF scholarships). Additionally, leadership roles are great to put on your resume and as an officer you will have increased contact with our industry partners.

For any questions regarding officer positions, please contact me directly (moodispaw.4 at osu.edu).

For the next meeting, we will meet virtually, to go over the in-person actives we typically do in the foundry. The meeting will prepare everyone so they have an idea of what we will do at our in-person meetings this semester. Additionally, it will be a good review of general sand casting processes. A survey will be sent out about choosing a meeting time.

Best,
