Dear fellow Phi Tau Sigma member, 

Happy Giving Tuesday! 

As Treasurer of Phi Tau Sigma, I love Giving Tuesday, a global celebration
that matches selected donations to help raise awareness of charitable causes
and amplify donor generosity.

GivingTuesday runs for 24 hours, beginning at midnight (your local time),
and social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, PayPal,
SnapChat, Tiktok, and Twitter are matching eligible donations made during
GivingTuesday on their platforms. This year, due to the unprecedented impact
of the coronavirus on the world, GivingTuesday has announced
#GivingTuesdayNow-a global day of giving and unity-set to take place all day
long on Dec 1, 2020.

Students are our future and Phi Tau Sigma is committed to supporting food
science students to advance the understanding of the science of food with
various scholarship opportunities. If each of us donated just $5, it would
add up to a student scholarship. If we each multiplied this donation by
twelve with a monthly pledge for a year, for just $5 each month, we could
boost our support of students to twelve times that.

Never before has it been more critical to safeguard science and scientific
debate, especially in the realm of food. Please consider giving a modest
donation to help advance the science-based understanding of food.
