National Director of Alumni Engagement at Citizen Schools, Boston MA Citizen Schools partners with middle schools to provide "apprenticeships" (hands-on projects taught by volunteers from business and civic organizations), academic support and a culture of high expectations. The Director of Alumni Engagement will be responsible for launching a national program to engage and leverage former volunteers to drive transformational change in education. The Director will also develop a strategy to orient incoming volunteers to their role as leaders in education. Matinees that Matter: Flag Wars Matinees that Matter, a lunch-and-learn program with video and discussion presented by Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center, continues on Thursday (6/21) from noon-1:30 p.m. in 160 Meiling Hall with "Flag Wars," moderated by Dan Clinchot. Winner of the Jury Award at the South by Southwest Film Festival, Flag Wars is an examination of the effects of gentrification and community renewal on the Old Towne East Neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio.
