[Ohiogift] Sub bill is out for the budget -- changes in gifted funding

Sub HB 59 is now out.  It will take some time to go through all of the changes in the bill, but the main provision that is included in the summary document provides good news for gifted: 


Provides gifted identification funding at $5.00 in FY’14 and $5.05 in FY’15 per ADM. Also funds gifted unit funding at a cost of $37,000 in FY’14 and $37,370 in FY’15. Provides one coordinator unit per 3,300 ADM (minimum 0.5/maximum 8) and one gifted intervention specialist unit per 1,100 ADM with a minimum of .3.

It will take me some time to go through the full bill to see how the funding changes are structured and what other policy changes were made or maintained. So stay tuned.
