Very helpful information for federal permit holders…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Scientific/Recovery Permit Holders,

As the summer field season comes to an end we want to thank you for all the good work you do for conservation, and the recovery of endangered and threatened species. We also want to remind you of upcoming deadlines, and some tips for helping expedite applications for renewals and amendments.

• If your permit expires on 12/31/2017 please submit your application for renewal post marked no later than Monday, November 30th. If renewal applications are post marked November 30th or earlier, your current permit will remain valid if compliance and reporting conditions are met, until we process your renewal. Regulations are available at: https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/50/13.22<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.law.cornell.edu%2Fcfr%2Ftext%2F50%2F13.22&data=02%7C01%7Ctccarter%40bsu.edu%7Cd99f0799f204443b292808d50b1e49e0%7C6fff909f07dc40da9e30fd7549c0f494%7C0%7C0%7C636427147073704243&sdata=hPxky%2Bhjop5zeX1BtQKefZ5nGgxBn3YXS0H%2BajEIx7E%3D&reserved=0>.

 • Please ensure the annual report of activities conducted in calendar year 2017 under your existing permit, according to your permit reporting instructions, is submitted by 01/31/2018 to all of the offices listed in the terms and conditions of your permit.

 • Permit application requests ( renewal or renewal/amendments) require at least 90 days to process upon receipt of a complete application. To help ensure permit requests processing within this time frame, please ensure you submit a complete application. Application forms can be found online at https://www.fws.gov/endangered/permits/how-to-apply.html<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fws.gov%2Fendangered%2Fpermits%2Fhow-to-apply.html&data=02%7C01%7Ctccarter%40bsu.edu%7Cd99f0799f204443b292808d50b1e49e0%7C6fff909f07dc40da9e30fd7549c0f494%7C0%7C0%7C636427147073704243&sdata=K0y8VeSI9qrKeyTuqRHCCiOjXbmZlLOkS5n5czWlxJc%3D&reserved=0> or directly as a fillable form at: https://www.fws.gov/forms/3-200-55.pdf<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fws.gov%2Fforms%2F3-200-55.pdf&data=02%7C01%7Ctccarter%40bsu.edu%7Cd99f0799f204443b292808d50b1e49e0%7C6fff909f07dc40da9e30fd7549c0f494%7C0%7C1%7C636427147073704243&sdata=O7DF8Z2sEji7xkReBpbWcaFJMspOjabMcdQqCqWcEbI%3D&reserved=0> .
