Ecology and Environment, Inc. is a fully integrated environmental consulting firm who is committed to sustainable development through responsible environmental stewardship.  We are seeking temporary (on-call) Bat Specialists / Biologists for projects in Clinton County, IN.  These positions will assist in conducting a variety of bat surveys. Our successful candidate will have experience with bat survey methodology and midst netting.
These are temporary positions with the hours depending on the survey type. We anticipate approximately 40 hours a week for a period of several weeks beginning in May. There may be opportunity for additional surveys on an as-needed basis. These positions will report to our Chicago, IL or Houston, TX offices.
Responsibilities:
*     Bat acoustic and mist-net surveys
*     Data compilation and report writing
*     Assisting with other surveys on an as-needed basis
 Requirements:
*     BS in Biology, Environmental Science or a closely related field preferred but not required
*     1-3 years' field experience
*     Experience conducting bat surveys  and midst netting
*     Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team setting as well as a self-starting individual
*     Valid driver's license and ability to travel to one of the field locations noted above (preference will be given to candidates that live within a commutate distance of the project site).
