[Natfinwellness] Required Financial Wellness Classes

Hi Jennifer and others,

To piggyback on Nate's response...

Though it's not currently offered or mandated on the Twin Cites campus,
my department recently finished developing and have available for
license a 1-credit online financial literacy course aimed at
transition/undergraduate students called "Financial Fitness." Some of
our other online wellness courses are being offered on other campuses,
and we hope to share this one with other schools as well. It could be
facilitated entirely online or through a hybrid format.

The course also has prepared quiz questions and assignments, which
include reflections on personal values surrounding money, keeping a
spending log, creating a budget, comparison shopping, shopping for
health insurance, responding to a credit report scenario, and conducting
research around a career or field of interest.

Feel free to visit ri.umn.edu <http://ri.umn.edu> for more info and
contact riinfo at umn.edu <mailto:riinfo at umn.edu> with any questions.

Best,
Sarah Keene
