Call for Papers– Special Issue of Asia Pacific Perspectives
Asia Pacific Essentials: Notes from the Field
The University of San Francisco Center for Asia Pacific Studies is pleased to announce a call for papers for the Spring 2019 issue of Asia Pacific Perspectives. This special issue will be dedicated to papers designed to provide non-specialists with an awareness of important topics in the Asia Pacific both historically and today. Papers submitted to this issue should provide undergraduates and interested readers with engaging overviews and discussions of topics in the author’s region of expertise. What knowledge do our readers need to have if they are to understand the Asia Pacific region historically, today, or in the coming decades?
Papers should be 15-25 pages in length.
Authors are encouraged to include short lists of suggested readings containing relevant literature or other sources, with an emphasis on recent publications.
Submissions from the social sciences and humanities are welcome.
Papers must represent original work not already published or in press. For more information about Asia Pacific Perspectives, please visit our website: http://www.usfca.edu/center-asia-pacific/perspectives/
