The Australian Centre on China in the World (CIW) and the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) are co-hosting the Taiwan Film Festival 臺灣電影節 in Canberra from 20 to 22 March 2015. From the romance and action of box office hits to contemporary cinematic masterpieces, from gritty independent documentaries to cool art house pioneers — Taiwan boasts a rich cinema, with generations of internationally lauded directors. Take this rare opportunity to immerse yourself in a special selection of Taiwan’s filmmaking talent from the last four decades.
