MCLC LIST
Project Pengyou Leadership Fellows
We are now accepting applications for our Project Pengyou Leadership Fellows Program (www.projectpengyou.org/leadershipfellows) to be held at UC Berkeley on October 10-13, 2015.
All American students or recent grads who have lived or studied in China are encouraged to apply!
Fellows will be invited to participate in an exclusive Leadership Summit at UC Berkeley in Berkeley, CA and receive intensive training on community organizing and cross-cultural leadership for the US-China context. With support from the Ford Foundation, Project Pengyou will cover lodging, food and training costs at UC Berkeley for all Fellows. A number of travel stipends will also be provided.
During the four day summit, participants will gain strategic skills to mobilize people and resources in their communities, and develop their capacity as US-China bridge-builders. Our long-term goal for this program is to build a robust community of next generation leaders committed to China study and exchange and mobilize them to establish Project Pengyou chapters across the country. Our growing national network of over 30 chapters serve to champion a deeper understanding of China and to encourage active US-China engagement beyond the classroom.
We are especially targeting fellows from under-privileged and under-represented regions (south and midwest), but in general we're looking for exceptional alumni who are passionate about their China experience, are interested to serve as a leader in their community and strengthen their engagement with China.
Details about the Leadership Fellows program and application process are online at www.projectpengyou.org/leadershipfellows and also detailed below. The deadline for applications is September 1, 2015.
Thank you!
Very Best,
Alyssa Farrelly
