Tie Liu’s memoirs of Mao’s victims?
Hello, I am a researcher at Harper’s Magazine and I am trying to track down memoirs of victims of the Cultural Revolution published online by a man with the pen name Tie Liu (his real name is Huang Zerong). The New York Times recently reported on his imprisonment by the Chinese government and mentioned these memoirs. Through some Google searches I’ve come across these two sites, that seem to be Tie Liu’s writings, or others’ writings that Tie Liu published:

But I’m not certain if these are the memoirs in question, or not. If you know anything about Tie Liu and these memoirs of victims please contact me at north at harpers.org or (212) 420-5753. If we can get our hands on them, we are considering translating some and publishing them in Harper’s Magazine‘s Readings section.
Thanks a lot,
Luke Whelan <north at harpers.org>
