Subject: New England Review--call for translations
***********************************************************

I am posting the following call for translations on behalf of my
colleague, Carolyn Kuebler, editor of the New England Review (email
address: nereview at middlebury.edu) --Tom Moran

==========================================================

New England Review, a quarterly literary journal published by Middlebury
College, is seeking to put together a special section on Chinese
literature in translation for an upcoming issue. We are looking for
translations of poetry, fiction, and essays, with a preference for works
by 20th century and contemporary authors. Acceptable length is one page to
10,000 words. We can assist in securing translation rights, but the
translator must first determine whether first serial rights are available
for a US publication in English. The translations should read well in
English, and translators should be open to editing and revision. For more
about New England Review, please see our website a

thttp://www.nereview.com

We will begin reviewing submissions in September, but works can be
submitted from now until November 15, 2014, at:
