Korean Studies Scholar in Residence: Lewis & Clark College, a private
liberal arts college with 2,000 undergraduates, invites applications for a
Scholar-in-Residence position in the East Asian Studies Program beginning
Fall, 2013. Preferred teaching fields include disciplines in the social
sciences and humanities. Ph.D. required at the time of appointment.
Potential for excellent teaching and research at an undergraduate
institution are essential. The successful candidate will teach one course
per semester, pursue research, and engage in the intellectual life of the
College by giving public presentations about his/her ongoing research and
guest lectures in colleagues¹ courses.  The College is committed to
preparing students for leadership in an increasingly interdependent world,
and affirms the educational benefits of diversity. (See

must include (1) a letter of application which includes a statement of
teaching philosophy; (2) a curriculum vitae; (3) evidence of teaching
effectiveness; (4) sample of scholarship; (5) graduate transcripts, and
(6) three letters of recommendation (uploaded separately by the referees).
