In France (Edward Yang retrospective 2010), the copy of Taipei Story is
described as a new copy from the Taipei Film Archive. The copy shown in
December 2012 in Amsterdam, however, didn't appear to be very new, there
were many scratches. Amsterdam did screen a newly restored version of A
Brighter Summer Day, which is supposedly also going to be made available
on dvd sometime later this year.
