Subject: LARB China Blog
***********************************************************

Those of you who’re still mourning the shuttering of China Beat might be
delighted to learn that the Los Angeles Review of Books has started
something comparable: "The China Blog”
(http://blog.lareviewofbooks.org/chinablog). It features regular
contributions from several unreconstructed China Beatniks: Jeffrey
Wasserstrom (Q&A’s with contributors to the publications), Maura
Cunningham (weighing in from Shanghai on literature, culture and
politics), Alec Ash (doing the same from Beijing), and Tong Lam (posting a
photograph or two with a gloss on their meaning).

The blog can't be accessed yet from the LARB main page, but rather from
the blog page, and it has its own page as well:

http://blog.lareviewofbooks.org/chinablog

The most recent post (in this case Xujun Eberlein answering questions
about Finnegans Wake and what she read growing up in Mao’s China) is
always only available on the main blog page
http://blog.lareviewofbooks.org/ (it then moves to the "China Blog" page
when a new one goes up.)

The LARB’s main site (http://lareviewofbooks.org) also regularly runs Asia
content, sometimes China-specific, co-edited by Jeffrey Wasserstrom and
Megan Shank.

Enjoy!
