[Folkserv] Writing workshop with Genevieve Gornichec 4/4

The Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and the Department of English are hosting a creative writing workshop with bestselling author Genevieve Gornichec as a warmup to her public lecture on the following day. Graduates, undergraduates, faculty and staff are all invited. Gornichec's  debut novel, The Witch’s Heart<https://genevievegornichec.com/the-witchs-heart>, was released in 2021 and has been translated into over a dozen languages. Her sophomore novel, The Weaver and the Witch Queen<https://genevievegornichec.com/the-weaver-and-the-witch-queen>, was released in 2023. The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 4 from 3 to 5 pm in 455 Hagerty Hall.


Have you always wanted to publish a novel or a short story? What happens between typing “the end” in your word document, and holding a finished book in your hands? As it turns out - quite a lot! But how does it all work? Join us for a casual roundtable discussion on writing craft, the publishing industry and everything in between. Bring your burning questions!
