I'm relishing the thought of VW typing in purple!
As for writing in purple ink, SP Books, who printed the bound facsmilie of Mrs Dalloway, have a few images of the MS on their website: https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.spbooks.com/91-mrs-dalloway-9791095457671.html__;!!KGKeukY!3zlKrNx1dDUR70w48rakGiUOpuu3q3h5vOauKsypw8C-JGoZat9cjwEqdyKqCNi9tqcM823IU2xopMbh9KRsaSiQFqI5p28p$ . Mixed colours, as Mark says.
There's more info on the British Library website (https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://blogs.bl.uk/english-and-drama/digital-archives__;!!KGKeukY!3zlKrNx1dDUR70w48rakGiUOpuu3q3h5vOauKsypw8C-JGoZat9cjwEqdyKqCNi9tqcM823IU2xopMbh9KRsaSiQFjvRUIZS$ ). They've digitised the notebooks in which Woolf wrote Mrs D, but the weblink 'Digitised Manuscripts' doesn't work, probably because of the cyberattack(s).

I'll see if I can track that down.all the best, mark

We have recently found evidence of Woolf’s purple pen in the Hogarth Press archives up to Feb 1940 - on the stock cards! Taking account of the figures… This is very exciting as it gives a real indication of Woolf’s presence at the Press and corroborates the kind of information on figures she tracks in the diaries.
Esther Folkersma who has been working on these cards has written a blog on this: https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://modernistarchives.com/content/the-colour-purple-finding-virginia-woolf-in-the-hogarth-press-stock-value-cards__;!!KGKeukY!3zlKrNx1dDUR70w48rakGiUOpuu3q3h5vOauKsypw8C-JGoZat9cjwEqdyKqCNi9tqcM823IU2xopMbh9KRsaSiQFgT8qQAL$

Subject: [Vwoolf] Purple ink?? Dear All—
I have a question about Woolf’s use of purple ink. I have read Paula Maggio’s helpful reposting of Matthew Holliday’s twitter feeds about Bloomsbury inks. I want to know: did she use purple ink throughout her life? I know that the MS’s of Between the Acts are largely typed rather than written. Did she use purple ink at any point in correcting the MS? Did she by any chance ever use a purple typewriter ribbon?
Mrs Dalloway holograph is in purple ink, right?
Thanks for the help.
Elisa
