I may already have posted the first of these two links, but this is the
first time I've posted the second one:
In order to avoid real work, I put together a document that shows the
differences between the first American and first British editions of To
the Lighthouse:
https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://mendelson.org/VirginiaWoolf/ToTheLighthouse-AmericanAndFirstEditionCompared.pdf__;!!KGKeukY!3JTdxNSEBx5eiI-biORr8qUy_Frce16PDaS2M9IOHCfaw0xm4c2F0AidYe3MHNkWs4T1GC_CnIaquEHHlxVIsF8eHPN3puhNTxY$
And now here is a similar document showing the differences between the
1927 first Hogarth Press edition and the 1930 Uniform Edition:
https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://mendelson.org/VirginiaWoolf/ToTheLIghthouse-FirstHogarthAndUniformCompared.pdf__;!!KGKeukY!3JTdxNSEBx5eiI-biORr8qUy_Frce16PDaS2M9IOHCfaw0xm4c2F0AidYe3MHNkWs4T1GC_CnIaquEHHlxVIsF8eHPN302HxxWM$
I hope they may be useful to someone. They certainly helped me avoid
other work.
At some point in the future, I'll post my book-scanner-produced scans of
all three editions (American, first Hogarth, and Uniform), but there's
no urgency about this, because images of all the individual pages are
available at https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://woolfonline.com__;!!KGKeukY!3JTdxNSEBx5eiI-biORr8qUy_Frce16PDaS2M9IOHCfaw0xm4c2F0AidYe3MHNkWs4T1GC_CnIaquEHHlxVIsF8eHPN3EcSP_I8$ - a site that was uniquely and
indispensably valuable in preparing these documents. The Woolf Online
site has scans of the 1932 reprint of the 1930 Uniform Edition, but (as
the Woolf Online site says) it seems to be identical to the 1930
impression that I used for the comparison.
