[Vwoolf] query about VSW letters

I doubt if there’s anything by VW or VSW that Mark hasn’t seen before.

I’ve bought a copy – because I thought I ought to. It has, as everyone knows, an intro by Bechdel. But who edited (selected) it? Buried on the verso of the title-p. is the editor’s name, Lily Lindon. She is employed as a Penguin Random House editor, which doesn’t mean that she is employed to propose editing books herself.

See here:

What she writes here and elsewhere is confusing to anyone who comes with a background in VW & VSW

She writes elsewhere:
Getting hold of a long-out-of-print copy of the Virginia and Vita letters had become something of a rite-of-passage for modern-day sapphists

So, forget all that. The letters and diaries come from previously published editions. But this is not a reprint of DeSalvo & Leaska.

Subject: [Vwoolf] query about VSW letters

Does anyone know if the ‘Love Letters’ of Vita S-W and VW with intro by Alison Bechdel recently published by Vintage is any different from the edition published long ago, edited by DeSalvo and Leaska (apart, that is, from the addition of intro by a famous person)?
