A property in Mecklenburgh Square, the former home of economic historian Eileen Power, is up for sale. The Woolfs lived at no. 37 from August 1939 to October 1940, overlapping slightly with Power, who lived in the Square from 1922 to 1940.

Described as a 'three-bedroom maisonette', the Grade II-listed property is priced at £3.75 million ($4.95 million). It covers 2,400 square feet and has undergone a full designer makeover but retains some period features.

BTW, you can read more about Mecklenburgh Square and its illustrious former residents, including Woolf, in Francesca Wade's Square Haunting: Five Women, Freedom and London Between the Wars, reviewed in the new issue of the Virginia Woolf Bulletin (September 2020).
