Laughter is a scarce commodity these days. I am glad this was worth a giggle.


I guess that, in the aftermath of the death of the copy-editor, all sorts of interesting "alternative facts" can manifest themselves with impunity. (But at least the "Bloomsbery" era in this article is set in the early 1920s instead of the 1980s as per that other article.)

Thank you for this moment of hilarity, Vara. It is always amazing that people actually get paid for writing this kind of nonsense. My favorite line (as well as the spelling of ‘Bloomsbery’ – twice!) is about how Virginia Woolf “resided” at Charleston where she spent hours “pondering philosophy.”  LOL all the way to the bank. Our own Bloomsbury version of fake news!
