[Vwoolf] Calling all book collectors!

Dear Emily, Karen, Vara, Trevor, and all,

Thank you all very much for your on-list and off-list responses to my
query. I'm very much interested in "common book collectors," so please keep
sending in stories of your Woolf / Bloomsbury / H.P. collections of all
sorts, especially if your books are odd, quirky, interestingly damaged, or
obtained via politely nefarious means. I'll ask this question in person too
at the conference in Reading to see if I can build up a multi-faceted
portrait of book collecting among the International Woolf Society.

Thank you very much Emily for your link and suggestions of other essays on
collecting Woolf.
(I found Emily's essay, “Scraps, orts and fragments”: Collecting Virginia
Woolf" at
http://web.stanford.edu/dept/libcommdev/wredenprize/wreden2011/KopleyEssay.pdf

For those interested in William Beekman, I believe that Leslie Young (a
bookseller at William Reese Company) will be speaking at the conference, at
least in part, on Beekman's collection.

Looking forward to seeing some of you at Reading,

all best,

Catherine
