[Vwoolf] Virginia Woolf Miscellany CFP: Jacob's Room

Hello all,


As summer rapidly draws to a close, I invite submissions for the Fall 2018 issue of the Virginia Woolf Miscellany, which will focus on Jacob's Room. The deadline has been extended to 1 March 2018.


Issue #94, Fall 2018: Almost a Century: Reading Jacob's Room




This issue of the Virginia Woolf Miscellany invitescontributions focused on aspects of Jacob’sRoom. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to: modernism and thestructural form of the novel; the critical reception of the novel; Woolf’selusive narrator; themes of loss and absence; the use of gaps or omission tosay what cannot be written in print; nature and the outdoors; the portrayal ofGreece in this and other works by the Bloomsbury Group; sexuality (explicit orotherwise); and commentary on the Great War. Papers which consider Jacob’s Roomin comparison to other novels by Woolf or her contemporaries are especiallywelcome. Please send enquiries and submissions no longer than 2500 words by 1 March2018 to: Alexandra DeLuise at <a.deluise at aol.com>.
