[Vwoolf] Vwoolf Digest, Vol 53, Issue 9

While we’re at it, it seems unlikely that the Carrington portrait of Frances Partridge recently mentioned here and offered for sale is either by Carrington or of Frances Partridge, as it resembles neither Carrington’s work or Frances herself. It would be interesting to know the provenance.

    Dear all,

as we are talking about portraits, for those who could not attend the 2010
IVWS conference where it was showcased as part of an accompanying art
exhibition, I'd like to share my own little bronze bust of Virginia Woolf
which is also partly idealized I think

It would be interesting to know what Frances Spalding thought of the
    resemblance!

Quite: 'hitherto unknown portrait of VW' because it's not VW. Looks more like me (on a very good day about 20 years ago). But thanks for passing it on -- very entertaining.

    Hi, Valentina,

I love what you say about your work with time and materials in creating this lovely bust of VW!

Thank you for sharing. May Woolf live long in that Roman garden you mention.
