I have just read in a newspaper that Carroll was one of Cameron's subjects, 
and this seems to be a popular assumption.  Yet there is no listing of any 
such in COX, Julian, & FORD, Colin (Foreword by Deborah Gribbon; Preface by 
Weston Naef), "Julia Margaret Cameron: The Complete Photographs" (London: 
Thames and Hudson in assoc. with The J. Paul Getty Museum, LA, & The 
National Museum of Photography, Film & Television, Bradford, 2003).
