See this link to an excerpt from the upcoming book, Irrepressible: The Jazz Age Life of Henrietta Bingham. Henrietta and her close friend and (for a time ) lover, Mina Kirstein, spent several years in the early 1920s in the Bloomsbury circle. She was sculpted by Stephen Tomlin, sketched by Dora Carrington, and painted by Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant. David Garnett dedicated his novel, Man in the Zoo to the two Americans. The excerpt details a memorable night at Grant and Bell's studio.
