In the Introduction to Susan Glaspell: A Critical
Biography<http://uncpress.unc.edu/FMPro?-db=pubtest.fmp&-format=detail.html&-lay=layout2&-op=eq&BOOK%20title%20id=T-288&-Script=visited&-find>
by Barbara Ozieblo I read:

"... and so I present the reader with my version of one of the "six or
seven thousand selves"--posited by Virginia Woolf in every human
being--awaiting us in Susan Glaspell."

Can anyone tell me where this reference to biography as illustrating any
one of a potential "six or seven thousand selves" comes from?

I seem to recall noting it myself ages ago, and I believe it was from "The
Art of Biography" or "The New Biography" or *Orlando*. At some point during
revision I cut the reference from my essay, and can't seem to relocate it
now.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Sincerely,
Bev Rilett
