[Somean] Next week's reading: Bakhtin!

The discussion today brought up Bakhtin, and we realized that although we 
read him towards the beginning of the life of the group, it was before 
most of the current members had joined.  So we're doing him again! 
Attached is an excerpt from "Discourse in the novel".  If you haven't read 
Bakhtin, you really should!  If you have, come along next week (Friday, 
10:30-noon in Oxley 201A) to discuss it, basking in the glow of not 
needing to read anything first.
