[Preplabstudents] Experiment CPC

Hi Everyone,

I’ve heard that there have been some issues with the distillation apparatus with CPC. I’ve been told some things that don’t make us look good:

-Prep lab students were asking Lab Supervisors how to do prep lab maintenance duties.
-Some water/ice buckets had so little water in them the pump was making a grinding noise.
-The discharge tube coming from the condenser was not in the water/ice bucket and all the water was pumped down the drain.

This is not acceptable. It sounds like some of you have not watched the video on setup and maintenance of this apparatus. The link is pasted below for your convenience. Please familiarize yourself with these procedures before Thursday, which is the next day we will use this apparatus.
